Mega Covid Vaccination Camp tomorrow, 7th May, in 3300 locations under Greater Chennai Corporation!

There was a meeting conducted yesterday (Thursday, 5th May) at the Ripon Building, Headquarters of the Greeter Chennai Corporation (GCC), presided by the Chennai Metro City Mayor Priya. The meeting was with the various service departments regarding the organization of the Mega Corona Vaccination Camps.
Various high-level officials, including the GCC Commissioner Gaga deep Sung Bedi, participated in the meeting.
Chennai Metro City Mayor Priya observed in the meeting:
In Chennai, 99% of the eligible citizens have been administered the 1st dose of the corona vaccination. 94% of the eligible citizens have been administered a double dose of the coronavirus vaccination.
It is planned to conduct a Mega Vaccination Camp on 8th May at 3300 locations in the Chennai Metro City. As such, the task is underway to detect the citizens yet to be administered with both the 1st & the 2nd dose of coronavirus vaccination and give them a reminder card to participate in this mega vaccination camp.
1600 squads have been formed for this mega vaccination camp and 200 permanent camps at 1 squad each for each of the 200 wards. The balance of 1400 squads will function at 3100 locations depending on the requirement.
The officials of the Chennai Metro City Police Department, Integrated Child Welfare Scheme, Indian Medical Council and the Southern Railway Department will be jointly performing these tasks.”
