New COVID cluster in Chennai is making sensational news now!!

Indian Institute of Technology Madras or IIT-M is now making news for the wrong reason!!
On Thursday, 21st April 2022, as many as 9 students from various hostels in the IIT-M campus have tested Covid-19 positive. This has now taken the fresh cluster tally to 12 in the last 3 days. On Thursday, the total number of fresh or new Coivid-19 cases in the Tamil Nadu state was 39. On Wednesday, the total number of fresh cases was 31 in Tamil Nadu is known. It is learnt that those students who have tested Covid 19 positive are now in the isolated unit of IIT in Taramani.
As per the health secretary Mr. J. Radhakrisnan it was clear that these students have just a mild infection and these students have been vaccinated already. The doctors have mentioned that at present there is no need for the students to get hospitalised for treatment. It is true that the wards have been kept ready for Coronavirus treatment at Government Corona Hospital at Guindy in Chennai.
In the last 2 weeks, some students were diagnosed with typhoid fever and they were then tested for Coronavirus infection also. It must be noted that RT-PCR tests were recommended by the doctors for some students who visited the clinics with flu-like symptoms.
