Sensational information about the flyovers construction work in Chennai!!

At various locations in the city of Chennai, flyovers are coming up!!

Mr. E.V. Velu, minister for PWD and Highways was busy inspecting these flyovers in Chennai on Sunday.  New deadlines were set regarding the completion of the works of flyovers plus vehicular subway works etc. It was brought out by an official release that the minister inspected the ongoing projects to make sure that the works are completed at the earliest for the sake of public use.

Twin flyovers constructed in Velachery in Chennai is well known to us. It is now said that the minister had set a deadline of 31st December for the works to be completed here. An amount of Rs 108 crores is being spent on the twin flyovers here. It is learnt that the first level of flyover would connect Velachery bypass and Tambaram and second level of flyover would connect Taramani and Velachery bypass.

Uni-directional 3 lane flyover at Medavakkam would be completed by 31st December and the minister gave directions to the highway officers about this. The unidirectional flyover here is being built at an amount of Rs 146 crores. Information is that the Velachery-Tambaram side of the flyover work has been completed and opened for the public already. Traffic congestion issues would not be there in the near future in Koyambedu as the Koyambedu flyover project might get ready by the month of August. At Koyambedu 4 lane fly-over would run to a length of 980m and an amount of Rs 93.50 crores is being spent on this.

Now, regarding the skywalk project at Tambaram, to make the passengers using the railway station to cross the busy GST Road, work on the pedestrian bridge on the railway station would be over by 31st October. By March 2022, the Chromepet- Indira Nagar railway subway work would be finished.
