Lost or misplaced your ATM cards?? Here is a number to block transactions!

The country`s premier Public Sector Bank, the State Bank of India (SBI), has announced a number to block ATM cards misplaced or lost!
NOTE THAT THERE IS NO NEED TO VISIT THE BANK/BRANCH TO BLOCK THE ATM! A TOLL-FREE NUMBER HAS BEEN SET UP. Call this number from your cell phone and block any transactions!
The Numbers: 1800 112 211 OR 1800 425 3800
You can call and block your ATM card.
Once the ATM card is locked, you will receive an SMS.
NOTE THAT THE SAME NUMBER CAN BE USED FOR GETTING A NEW ATM CARD AS WELL!
The service, based on the IVR system, it will be asked to press numbers such as 1, 2, 8, 0r 9. You have to press the right number as per the information received, it will enable blocking of the ATM card as well as applying for a new ATM card!
