No summer holidays training programmes for school and college students in TN

The Coronavirus situation has taken a turn to worse now in TN.
It is now said that the summer holiday training programmes for the college and school students would be cancelled this year also.
It is known that in 2020 due to the total lockdown various student programmes (that would have been implemented between April and May) could not be conducted.
In January 2021, when the number of cases came down the authorities were interested to implement holiday programmes for the students. The truth is that the situation has turned to worse now with an increasing number of Covid-19 cases.
With the sudden surge in the Covid-19 cases in TN, it would not be possible to conduct training programmes for the students. This was according to a senior official from the school education department. He then revealed that the students were selected from the departments of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Maths at the state level in government colleges to provide training programmes for more than 20 days in summer vacations.
He concluded that the programme would not be possible this year. There are also other programmes that would not be conducted and these included interaction meet on enhancing skills, employability, placement opportunities for engineering graduates etc.
