Who said lean muscle could not be built by consuming a plant based diet?

It is known that by eating non vegetarian or animal based food we would be able to develop lean muscle in us but if we could get the result by having plant based food then it would be sensational isn’t it!! Yes. It’s true!!

Important information is that a plant based diet is totally compatible with exercise. These below mentioned plant based foods would help in building lean muscle.

By consuming potatoes:

Not many are aware of the fact that potatoes could be consumed for building lean muscles. These high carbohydrate foods and they could provide the much needed energy. It is believed that eating potatoes before doing workouts could provide energy for doing workouts and eating potatoes after would be good for recovery.

By consuming legumes:

Being a superb source of proteins and iron, legumes could be consumed after the workouts for replenishing carbohydrate stores and for providing a source of protein for muscle growth. Nutrient absorption is enhanced by the presence of high fibre content in the legumes. It must be noted that the fibre is linked to maintaining healthy gut bacteria that promotes optimal digestion.

It is known that whole grains have carbohydrates plus proteins and antioxidants in them. For getting an excellent source of energy, it is necessary to eat whole grains before doing workouts.

By consuming seeds and nuts:

It is believed that the intake of nuts and seeds would provide calories to the diet as they are rich in proteins and calories. The nutrient absorption of vitamins like A, D, E and K could get boosted by the presence of fats in the seeds and nuts. It is superb to eat pistachios tossed in a salad or almond butter spread on whole grain bread toast.
