Below 5% test positivity rate - COVID infection controlled in TN, more recoveries than fresh cases

The test positivity rate was hovering around 10% little more than a month back in TN and it has gone below 5% now. This has revealed that the testing has been adequate and the Covid-19 spread has been brought under the control
The TN state recorded 4410 fresh Coronavirus cases on Thursday and the declining trend has caught the attention of many now. The truth is that the number of deaths has also gone down. The rise in the doubling time of Covid-19 cases in TN has meant that the infection rate has reduced. This has made the authorities belonging to the health department feel little relieved. This was mentioned by some public health experts.
For many months, the officials of the health department were trying their best to contain the spread of Coronavirus infection is well known to us. Information is till now the total number of Coronavirus positive cases in TN is 674,802. As many as 1148 cases were reported in Chennai on Thursday.
As many as 5055 persons have got discharged from several hospitals in TN on Thursday and the number of recoveries has outnumbered the fresh cases. It is superb to note that since 4th October except for 2 days TN has been posting more recoveries than fresh cases.
In TN, till now 622458 persons have been treated and cured from the infection. Point is that the number of active Coronavirus cases in TN has declined to 41872. It must be noted that the number of active cases surged above 46000 mark in the first week of July.
