Corridors of Sabarimalai Lord Ayyappa temple to open for 5 days for Aavani month poojas!

As per the tradition, the corridors of the Lord Sri Ayyappan Temple at Sabarimalai are set to open for 5 days for performing the poojas as per the almanac during the Tamil/Kerala month of Aavani.
Accordingly, the temple corridors of the Lord Sri Ayyappan were opened today morning and Abhishekhan, Ganapathy Homam and special poojas were performed at 5.00 AM (Monday, 17th August).
After the special poojas are performed for 5 days as per schedule during the Tamil Calendar Month of Aavani, the Sabarimala temple corridors will be closed on 21st August.
Meanwhile, the President of Thiruvankur Devasthanam N. Vasu has informed that the yearly yatra (pilgrimage) undertaken for Sabarimalai temple for Darshan and praying of Lord Sri Ayyappa is scheduled to commence on 16th November.
