Decrease in the mortality rate due to COVID in TN

Coronavirus infection has spread for many people in TN and it has been responsible for a number of deaths is a known fact. Over the past 6 weeks of time, the mortality impact due to Coronavirus infection has declined across TN. This was mentioned by the health secretary, Mr. J. Radhakrishnan.
The health secretary inspected Coronavirus control measures taken by Madurai district administration and the health department. He brought out that just 10% of the Covid-19 deaths in TN were purely caused by the virus.
Persons with co-morbid health conditions like BP, diabetes etc have succumbed to this Coronavirus infection more. He added that the co-morbid conditions could increase the chances of fatalities.
As per the instructions of the ICMR, the deaths due to co-morbid conditions were also considered as Covid-19 deaths. It is important to mention that even after the recovery from the infection patients were being tested inside a week.
Hence, the TN government did not have the necessity to conceal the number of deaths. Unlike in the past when declaring test results took time, now the results are declared inside 24 hours of time.
The Health care professionals have been working hard to keep this infection under control. Mr. Radhakrishnan then spoke about how in the treatment of Covid-19 infection Siddha medicine has been playing a superb part.
Information collected is that Mr. Radhakrishnan inspected the fever camps in parts of Kalavasal and Mudakku Salai in Madurai. Mr. T.G. Vinay, Madurai collector and Corporation collector Mr. S. Visakan accompanied the health secretary
