IMD: Heavy rains to persist in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka!

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that as a climate situation conducive to the successive low-pressure zones over the Bay of Bengal, the prevailing heavy rains in the Western Ghat Mountain Range and adjacent areas will persist.

A notification released by IMD in this regard mentions:

A strong depression zone has already formed over the Bay of Bengal Odisha Region. Besides this, there are prospects another depression zone forming over the central-west Bay of Bengal region on 9th August.

So, IMD has informed that the prevailing heavy rains or very heavy rains will persist in the districts lying adjacent to the Western Ghat Range of hills and the borders of Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu including the districts of Nilgiri and Coimbatore fort eh next 4 to 5 days.
