Unscheduled power cuts likely in certain areas

Certain areas of the city will face unscheduled power cuts. The reason given is that there will be rectification work going on for the transformers at the R.A. Puram and Mambalam sub stations. The cuts will be from Sunday to Tuesday and the areas likely to get affected are T. Nagar, Nandanam, R.A. Puram, West Mambalam, West Saidapet, C.I.T. Nagar, Mylapore and Teynampet.
To improve transformer capacity at the Kovilambakkam sub station, there will be load shedding at Medavakkam, Kovilambakkam, Nanmangalam, S. Kolathur, Chettinadu, Maxworth Nagar, Enchangadu and self help industrial estate. This is likely to happen between 6 pm on Sunday to 2.30 am on Tuesday.
