Lockdown to continue with regulations despite some relaxations!

Though certain relaxations are announced in the prevailing lockdown 6th Phase, certain activities are still banned in the entire state of Tamil Nadu.
These bans are continuing right from the 1st Phase of lockdown which was announced on 25th March.
In this regard, the Chief Secretary of the Tamil Nadu State Government has issued a notification:
- The larger worship sites such as temples located in urban areas are still to be closed for the devotees.
- Religion-related processions, gatherings, etc., are still banned.
- Popular tourist resorts such as Ooty, Kodaikanal and Yercaud are banned for foreign and national tourists.
- The ban on the functioning of hotels and the lodges still continue. At the same time, hotel services are provided to certain categories – such as Health Department workers who are literally waging a war for humanity against the raging spread of the coronavirus pandemic, persons struggling and stranded without any travel arrangement and those who are kept in isolation.
- In cities such as Chennai Metro and Coimbatore, the larger stores such as commercial complexes and malls are still closed.
- Schools, colleges and all educational institutions remain closed.
- Only log-distance and online learnings are permitted and encouraged.
- All international flight services have been banned by the central government and hence flights cancelled.
- Metro train services and suburban train services, cinema theatres, swimming pools, entertainment/amusement parks, .liquour shops/bars, art/cultural entertainment auditoriums, conference halls, etc., remain closed.
- Sports stadium are permitted to open but without spectators.
- Huge gatherings of people on social, political, sports, entertainment, education, culture, and religious related events are also banned.
- Transport between states has also been banned. Even the transport between districts within a state is also banned until 15th July.
