23 Streets connecting KK Salai belonging to Kodambakkam Zone sealed now

Soon after 58 persons had tested positive for Corona virus infection, GCC has sealed the entry and exit of 23 streets connecting K.K. Salai of Kodambakkam zone on Tuesday, 2nd June.
The traffic in that area has been restricted now. It is now brought out that the containment policy would be present in the ward 138 for a time of 14 days. It is known that division 138 falls under Kodambakkam zone and there are as many as 1867 Corona virus positive cases here.
It was later mentioned by Mr. G. Prakash, Chennai Corporation commissioner that the periphery of large cluster would be sealed and policemen would be deployed to prevent people from moving in or out. It is important to note that on the trial basis GCC has already began implementing larger cluster containment in division 173 Adyar zone plus in the divisions 114 and 115 belonging to Teynampet zones.
