Tamil Nadu now becomes the second state with highest Corona virus positive cases

With 688 persons testing positive for Corona virus on Tuesday, the total number of cases have gone above 12000 now in TN and is now at 12488.
On Tuesday, 22 positive cases were reported in Chengalpet district, 8 cases in Tiruvallur district, 5 cases in Kancheepuram district. District of Thanjavore reported 3 new cases. Ramnad district and Kanyakumari district recorded 2 cases each. Districts like Dindigul, Ranipet, Kallakurichi etc recorded one case each.
In TN, a total of 7466 Corona virus cases are active now and out of that 5691 cases active in Chennai. Point is Chennai city had accounted for more than 76% of total active Corona virus positive cases in TN.
Maharashtra is ranked number one in having the highest number of Corona virus positive cases in India. In Maharashtra, lock down has not been eased yet. It must be noted that before TN took up the second place Gujarat state had the second highest Corona virus positive cases.
