Most Corona virus positive cases from these 7 Chennai zones now

Seven zones in Chennai have been identified as the places with most Corona virus positive cases by GCC. This was according to Mr. J. Radhakrishnan, corporation special nodal officer.
In Chennai as many as 316 Corona virus positive cases were reported on Thursday and to prevent the infection from spreading 451 containment zones have been created.
It was later brought out by Mr. Radhakrishnan that Chennai zones like Thiru- Vi- ka Nagar, Royapuram, Kodambakkam, Anna Nagar, Teynampet, Tondiarpet and Valasarawakkam have reported most Corona virus positive cases in Chennai city.
It must be noted that in 3 of the zones the number of Corona virus positive cases have gone up because of many residents of one ward testing positive. As many as 96 persons living in one street in Tattankulam tested positive for Corona virus.
He then explained about the concentration of the Corona virus cases in few residential areas and said 50 percent of the cases have been reported from 20 wards in Chennai city. Information is there were 200 wards in the corporation having population of 70 lakhs. In addition to those in north Chennai, the civic body had identified focus areas.
Mr. Radhakrishnan later stressed on the need to assess the risk of ATM and public toilets in the containment zones becoming infection sources and said the team of officials had analysed the situation. Point is ATM`s belonging to the containment zones have been shut down. He hinted about the starting of mobile ATMs for the residents and also about the closure of all the offices in the containment zones.
