Out of 508 new Covid-19 positive cases in TN, 279 cases from Chennai city alone

On Tuesday, 5th May 2020, the number of Corona virus positive cases reached 4058 as 508 persons tested positive in TN.
The news is the number of Covid-19 positive cases in Chennai reached 2008 with the addition of 279 new patients. The number of persons who have passed away due to Covid-19 infection in TN is 33 with the death of 56 year old man and 60 year old woman at KMCH. From various hospitals, atleast 76 persons got discharged on Tuesday and as many as 2537 have been getting treatment for Corona virus at the hospitals.
Koyambedu cluster has again contributed to the large number of positive cases for the second consecutive day. There were as many as 68 Covid-19 positive cases in Cuddalore district and all were returnees from Koyambedu. Districts like Chengalpet and Kallakurichi reported 38 positive cases each. Two Corona virus positive cases were reported from Krishnagiri district and now Krishnagiri district doesn’t belong to green zone.
