Government Hospitals Houseful! Schools and colleges kept ready!

As the number of coronavirus-infected patients has increased considerably in the hospitals in Chennai Metro City, Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has decided to convert colleges into special hospitals!

Rather shockingly, the impact of coronavirus has been increasing in the state of Tamil Nadu. As compared to other districts in the state, it has been shockingly monstrous in Chennai Metro City!

In the above situation, to intensify the virus preventive measures and related activities, Revenue Administration Commissioner Radhakrishnan has been appointed as the Special Coordination Officer.

As such, arrangements are being made to convert the Rajiv Gandhi, Kilpauk, Stanley, and Omandhurar Government Hospitals into special wards with 1700 beds!

Out of this, 400 beds are already accommodated in the Kilpauk and Omandhurar Government Hospitals. Subsequently, GCC has planned to allot 3 colleges for each government hospital

GCC Officials explained:

“Several patients are being admitted to hospitals in Chennai Metro City with coronavirus symptoms or infection! The hospitals ready to treat them! In Kilpauk and Stanley Government Hospitals, with the available building facilities, it is not possible to increase the number of beds. So, it has been planned to convert the art colleges with toilet facilities into hospitals!

It is possible to arrange for 1000 beds in the Chennai Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital. Activities have already been initiated for this! In Chennai, to facilitate the persons likely to cause infection, over 500 schools with toilet facilities are kept ready! Further, many colleges, schools, Greater Chennai Corporation Social Welfare Halls and Private Marriage Halls have all been kept ready!’

Chennai Arumbakkam Private College has been converted into a coronavirus treatment hospital! 84 corona infection cases have been transferred from the Government Stanley Medical College to this college!

Under the Kilpauk Government Hospital Dean Balaji, the team of doctors with Doctor Arvind is treating these patients.

Along with them, Siddha Doctor Veerababu and his team have been giving Siddha medicines and food items which would not harm the lungs of the patients.

Siddha doctor Veerababu shared:

“For the patients under treatment, in the early morning, on an empty stomach, ‘Kabasura kudineer’ for the right quantity is given. At 8.00 AM, Pongal, Sambar, and egg are given. At 11.00 AM, ‘Thoothuvalai’ Soup (‘Solanum Trilobatu’) is given. AtAt 1.00 PM, Tomato Rice and Poriyal are given.

At 3.00 PM, herbal tea and ‘sundal’ made of 9 grains "navadhaniya sundal" is given. Herbal tea is prepared using ginger, lemon, sitharathai, athimathuram, thippili, pepper, and karuppatti jaggery.

At 8.00 PM, pudhina chapathi and kuruma are given to the patients. With this menu, the body resistance of the patients against illnesses will improve! As Siddha medicines are also given along with allopathic treatment, the coronavirus infected patients will recover rather quickly!”
