Textbooks to be issued at the homes of the Chennai school students

Social distancing is now given huge importance to prevent the spreading of Covid-19 is well known.
Keeping this in mind, the schools are having plans now to deliver the textbooks for the school students at their home itself. It is now said that soon the Chennai city school students would be getting their textbooks for the academic year 2020-21 at their homes. Usually, students and parents would gather at the school campus to get the textbooks.
According to the principal of Chinmaya Vidyalaya School, P. Vijayalakshmi, in this crisis time it is not ideal to have parents gather at the school campus to buy textbooks like they did in the past. Home delivering the textbooks would be ideal in this time of crisis. In the month of May or in the first week of June, the textbooks are usually given and these textbooks are bought by the parents at the school campus. Book distribution has been delayed in this year due to the lock down.
She mentioned about how in April itself they used to distribute textbooks to the students and how the distribution has been put on hold. She hinted that the textbooks would be distributed atleast by the first week of June once the lock down gets lifted.
