GCC: detailed announcement on Travel Pass today (3rd May)!

Greater Chennai Corporation Commissioner Prakash has informed us that a detailed notification will be released today (Sunday, 3rd May).
Greater Chennai Corporation Commissioner Prakash shared with the press:
“A detailed notification will be released today (Sunday, 3rd May) regarding the issue of ‘travel pass’ fort eh residents under the jurisdiction of GCC. The house owners can apply and get a pass for their servants.
Tea shops, hair-dressing salons, and Fancy shops will not come under the category of special/separate shops.
4000 beds are kept ready in the colleges falling under the jurisdiction of GCC. Similar bed arrangements will be gradually made available in schools and marriage halls.
Activities have been initiated to set up beds in the 750 marriage halls under GCC jurisdiction.
1000 beds would be in ready condition by next week and 50000 beds will be in ready condition by the end of May.
Greater Chennai Corporation`s activities include making the place ready and providing facilities for the patients. Other activities will be under the Health Department.
Presently, up to 5000 other state workers in the GCC camp in Chennai Metro City. The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister has undertaken the initiative to send these workers back to their native places.”
Special Officer Radhakrishnan shared with the press:
“The activity of spraying disinfectant house-to-house has been taken up and is in progress on a war-footing!
Whole-hearted public cooperation (100%) is the most essential aspect of controlling the spreading of the raging coronavirus pandemic.
Senior citizens, children, and patients must be taken care of and they should remain watchful.
Please do not have unnecessary panic! At the same time, do not lose focus on what preventive action must be done individually!
Remember - wearing a face mask is mandatory!”
