TN State Department of Health: 231 Persons infected! A transgender person infected as a 1st case!

The Department of the health of the State Government of Tamil Nadu has informed that 231 more persons have been confirmed infected in Tamil Nadu increasing the total number of affected persons to 2,757.

As a preventive measure against the spreading of the raging coronavirus pandemic, lockdown conditions have been imposed from 25th March to 3rd May throughout the country under the National Major Disaster Management Act.

However, the number of infections increasing every passing day! As informed by the Central Ministry of Health, the total number of infected persons in India has increased to 39,879. So far, 1,323 lives have been lost. 10,842 persons have recovered, were discharged and returned home.

In this scenario, the State Health Department of Tamil Nadu has announced that 231 more persons have been infected with the coronavirus.
  • In Tamil Nadu, 1,384 persons have recovered, were discharged and returned home. 29 persons have recovered on 2nd May (Saturday) and were discharged.
  • In Tamil Nadu, 1 more life has been lost and the total loss of lives has gone up to 29.
  • In Tamil Nadu, 1,30,132 persons have been tested so far. On 2nnd May alone, 10,122 persons were tested. 3,100 persons were checked in Chennai Metro City alone.
  • Tamil Nadu has the maximum number of est centres in the country - 47 coronavirus pandemic test centres. Presently, 1,384 persons are under treatment.
  • The percentage (%) of the recovered patients is maximum ibn the state of Tamil Nadu in the country!
  • As the population density is quite high in Chennai Metro City, it is rather a stiff challenge to check and control the coronavirus pandemic.
  • None of the recovered persons in Tamil Nadu have been affected a 2nd time.
  • 14 districts are affected by coronavirus pandemic in Tamil Nadu.
  • Out of the affected persons in the state of Tamil Nadu, 1,828 are men. 928 are women. 1 transgender has been confirmed with coronavirus infection.
  • In Tamil Nadu, there is a strong trend of the orange zones decreasing changing to the red zone!
  • Testing is being carried out on a large scale in all districts. The medical expert team has recommended that undertaking more tests is better in controlling the virus spread.
  • Tamil Nadu State is still under the Protection Circle!
  • For the 1st time in Tamil Nadu, a transgender person has been confirmed with coronavirus infection in Tamil Nadu.
