In March, the retail inflation gets reduced to 5.91%

The latest news is the retail inflation has reduced in March 2020 to 5.91% when compared to the month of February. The main reason for this reduction is due to the reduction in the cost of various food items.
According to the consumer prices index or CPI, retail inflation in the month of February 2020 was 6.58% and last year in the month of March it was 2.86%. It must be noted that due to Corona virus lock down, figure till 19th March 2020 was taken into calculating the retail inflation. In the March month, the net inflation was 8.76 percent. From 10.86 % in February, net inflation got reduced and this was as per the department of enforcement and statistics.
