Medical Experts Council recommends extension of lockdown!

The expert medical council recently formed by the Tamil Nadu State Government has recommended the Chief Minister to extend the current lockdown in Tamil Nadu by another 2 weeks.
Due to the raging coronavirus pandemic spreading far, fast, and wide throughout the world with increasing persons affected and loss of lives, various preventive actions have been taken by all countries - including India, where both the central and the state government have acted on a war- footing to prevent the spread, imposing clampdown for 21 days!
This clampdown is scheduled to conclude in 4 days - on 14th April.
In this scenario, the Prime Minister informed that several states had requested him to extend the clampdown. In this background, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E. Palaniswmy had a consultation/review meeting on this issue with the medical expert council mentioned above.
During this meeting, the medical expert council has recommended the extension of the current lockdown by another 2 weeks.
Dr. Pradeepa, one of the experts in the council, had a session with the press after the meeting and shared:
‘Though the government has been doing its utmost to prevent the spread of the raging coronavirus, the impact has been increasing. However, it must be appreciated that both the central and the state government have been doing their utmost efforts to contain t5he spread. Still, we recommended that the lockdown be extended by another 2 weeks!’
State cabinet ministry meeting tomorrow (Saturday, 11th April)
Meanwhile, a meeting of the state cabinet ministry has been scheduled to be conducted tomorrow (11th April). Information is gathered that a decision regarding the lockdown situation will be taken during this meeting. It is expected that there will be an extension of the lockout.
In this situation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will have a meeting with all the State Chief Ministers tomorrow (Saturday, 11th April).
It is expected that the news regarding the extension of the lockdown will be released after this meeting!
