In the present critical situation of lockdown period imposed as a preventive action against the raging coronavirus pandemic The central Ministry of Health as released a list of guidelines - do’s & don’ts - for the public to follow strictly.

The coronavirus pandemic has been spreading in (India quite fast, far and wide! More than 5700 persons are affected. The loss of lives has crossed 160! This has led to panic among the public!

Both the central and the state government are doing their utmost to initiate various preventive and protective measures!

In this scenario, the central ministry of health has released a notification yesterday (Thursday, 9th April). It mentions:

Note must be taken of the fact that even among the dreadfully critical coronavirus pandemic, people on special public service duties - medical persons, health department workers, the police - all of them have been working day and night!

Quite sadly, most of the public, instead of being appreciative and grateful for this noble and risky service from the above, some of the public are apprehensive about them due to the fear of the coronavirus infection! They are not being treated with the respect and kindness they deserve- instead, they are treated with a negative bias! No doubt, this is immense harm to society!

So, here are a few guidelines for the public to strictly follow in these critical times:
  • Appreciate with whole-heart the public service personnel! Be of full support to them and their families!
  • Share only the official and authentic information released by WHO (World Health Organisation) or the Central Ministry of Health.
  • Before sharing any info on the social networking media, check and verify the truth and then only share!
  • On the other share encouraging news such as data on those who have recovered from the coronavirus!
  • At the same time, remember not to reveal details about those affected by the coronavirus or those who are kept isolated!
  • Do not release any details that may lead to panic among the public!
  • Do not share any criticizing statements about the medical and health personnel and the police department!
  • Do not brand that the people of a certain society only are responsible for this coronavirus crisis!
  • Do not mention the treated patients as ‘those affected by coronavirus’! Mention them as ‘those who recover from coronavirus’!
