Actor / Politician Kamal Hassan writes to Prime Minister!

With the raging coronavirus pandemic and the related various preventive activities undertaken by both the central and the state governments against its spreading, orders have been following in succession for the public to oblige – In this regard, Kamalahassn, actor/producer/director/script/dialogue and a leader of the political party ‘Makkal Needhi Maiyam’ floated by him, has written a letter to the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressing his observations/opinions.
The highlights of the letter:
- In his letter dated 23rd March, he had urged that the present people from all walks of life must be taken note of! In this regard, he mentions about the ‘hasty’ demonetization as well.
- The prime minister must appreciate the citizens have chosen him as a leader - they are ready to follow his orders – but this compliance must not be misconstrues as subjugation!
- Kamal Hassan is apprehensive whether the same mistake of demonetization Loss of savings and livelihood of the poorest) is being repeated in this instance of coronavirus as well! This lockdown and other things have cut off the public both their lives and the livelihood! While lighting lamps may be a spectacle – the poor man’s plight is another tragic spectacle to be noted! However, there are issues more urgent as well as more important!
