Vellore Parliamentary constituency - election on 5th August!

During the recent 17th parliamentary elections conducted, the Tamil Nadu Vellore Parliamentary Constituency was excluded from the elections.
Now, it has been announced that the election for this constituency will be held on 5th August.
As per the Election Commission announcement :
- The filing of nominations to contest in this parliamentary constituency commences on 11th July. The last date for filing nominations is 18th July.
- The scrutinising of the nominations is scheduled on 19th July. The last date to withdraw the nominations is 22nd July.
- The election is scheduled on 5th August. The counting of votes is scheduled on 9th August.
Subsequent to this, the election period rules and regulations have come into vogue in Vellore constituency.
