How do you go to Thiruvannamalai? Here are two routes to take

You can either choose to go to Thiruvannamalai through train or through train and bus.
The first way
Here is how you can visit Thiruvannamalai by Train and bus
- It is a 2 hours and 34 minutes journey at a cost of Rs 1035.
- Train to Tindivanam – this will cost you Rs 81 and it will be an hour plus 14 minutes journey. From Chennai, you should take a train until Tindivanam. The ticket rate as aforementioned will be Rs 81. This is just a short trip.
- Bus from Tindivanam to Thiruvannamalai – this will be a journey of an hour plus 20 minutes. And you should spend about Rs 938 towards the same for the bus ticket price.
The second way
Here is how you can reach Tiruvannamalai by bus and train
- This is going to be a four hours and 50 minutes journey at a cost of Rs 376.
- Bus to Viluppuram – board a bus from Chennai to Viluppuram. It will be for about 3 hours and 37 minutes. The bus ticket price will be Rs 291.
- From Viluppuram, spend just Rs 85 for the journey of an hour plus 13 minutes and reach Tiruvannamalai through train.
