October 2018 is about to end in 1 day. November will commence. The Tamil calendar months (half-each) Aippasi and Karathigai occur during this English calendar month of November. Prominent festivals such as Deepavali, Thirukarthigai, and Kandha Sashti occur during November.
November 4 (Aippasi 18, Sunday)
Govastha Dwadasi occurs. If the women and children pray and perform pooja and pray the cow and calf, they will get good health!
November 5 (Aippasi 19, Monday)
Yamadeepam. Dhanathrayodhasi, and Dhanvanthiri Jayanthi – occur. Lighting a lamp facing south in the evening brings good to the family. Health will improve. We can pray Lord Dhanwanthiri – this is an auspicious day to buy gold and silver items for the house!
November 6 (Aippasi 20, Tuesday)
Deepavali Naraga Chathirthasi occurs. It is ideal to get up early morning and take an oil bath between 3.00 AM and 5.00 AM and then perform Lakshmi Pooja.
November 7 (Aippasi 21, Wednesday)
It is Kedhara Gowri Viratham Day. It is auspicious to perform Gowri Pooja. Also, it is auspicious to perform Goddess Lakshmi – Lord Kubera Pooja.
November 9 (Aippasi 23, Friday)
Yama-dwidiyai occurs. This day is auspicious to invite the elder and younger brothers for an eating session and then receive their blessings and good wishes.
November 13 (Aippasi 24, Tuesday)
It is the day of Kandha Sashti. Praying Lord Muruga on this day brings huge success in business.
November 17 (Karthigai 1, Saturday)
Mudavan Muzhukku’ occurs. By taking a dip and a holy bath in the Cauvery river today, we can attain all good things – health, wealth, and prosperity!
November 22 (Karthigai 6, Thursday)
Bharani Deepam occurs. It is the grand Thirukkarthigai Deepam Day in the famous Thiruvannamalai temple. We can light lamps in the main sections of the house and perform prayer and Pooja. Also, today is Chandra Jayanthi day. We can adorn the deity of Lord Chandra (Moon) with white colour and perform Archana and light deepam with ghee as the fuel. All evil effects will get removed.
November 30 (Karthigai 14, Friday)
Kalabhairavashtami occurs. We can pray Kalabhiravar and perform Pooja.
