In order to prevent such air-conditioner accidents, the experts have insisted that air-conditioner must be maintained properly. Only high-quality spares must be procured and used while repairing.

Most of fail to check and confirm whether the air-conditioner installed in the house is set up properly. Only when it starts malfunctioning, the action is taken to check and repair. It is worth noting that air-conditioners can cause death even while functioning properly!
While buying an air-conditioner, suitable care must be taken to select the air-conditioner according to the room size where it will be installed. There are air-conditioners with 3 different capacities 1 ton, 1.5 ton, 2 tons, and 3 tons. For the rooms with 150 sq. ft., a 1.5 ton a/c would be sufficient. If a/c is to be installed in a larger hall, then it better to procure a 3-ton a/c.
Do not buy spares which are priced cheaper. It is always preferable to buy high-quality spares at the right price! Once a/c is bought, high-quality auxiliaries such as fuser and dripper must be procured.
If the a/c is of 1.5-ton capacity, it has to be fixed with 20 Amps fuse wire. The dripper also must be provided with 20 Amps fuse wire. Only then, whenever there are problems in power supply, the dripper would automatically get switched off protecting the a/c. High-quality stabilizers must be bought for the a/c.
Never keep the a/c setting below 23 degrees. When it is set lower than this, the a/c would b subjected to excess work. During this, several parts in the a/c, such as the compressor, coil, and the wires to the a/c will all get hotter. This might lead to the possibilities of fire.
Never ever set the a/c at 16 Degrees. The a/c s installed in residences must be serviced once in 3 months.
If it is a split a/c, the filter must be removed and cleaned once in every 15 days.
Note that it wrong to use the spray in the room/hall when the a/c is running. The perfumes in the spray may damage the coil in the a/c.
Just in red to get extra cool, do not switch on the fan while a/c is running.
Another point – while switching off the a/c, do not just use the remote control. Switch off the a/c power connection point as well.
Do not allow the children to handle the remote. There is a possibility for them to operate it quite frequently and erratically.
When people are outside the quantity of oxygen is much more. However, while entering inside the room, the quantity of oxygen is less. So, it is better to keep the windows open while going to sleep. Instead of running the a/c throughout the night, it is preferable to let it run for 3 hours and then switch off. The automatic system can be used. Regular servicing must be done whenever due. Otherwise, the toxic air outside will get mixed with the cold air from the a/c which may lead to giddiness. It may even cause death.
