This summer personified like a dragon emitting heat waves cruelly all around the country with some peak records of highest ever readings in the temperature scale. Especially southern regions of India fell into an intense sun variations up above the normal scale in this summer of 2018. The humidity content in the air fell down rapidly causing heat inside our rooms even after the sunset. Air-conditioners and Coolers are the only saviors in the times of intensely hot days. But with the huge population of the country and the economic inequality doesn’t allow people to enjoy the summer with the help of these white goods machines.

Power cut is another major problem in many regions of India especially rural areas gets affected both domestically and financially owing to frequent power shut downs. Also the usage of AC and coolers can raise the electricity bill that comes as a big shock for the budget planned middle class majorities of the country. In order to keep our houses cool in the times of summer we formulated few ideas people can easily adopt in their respective houses.

Water containers in the room

Take big containers with water and place it all around the house. The water can give a coolant effect to the rooms and can reduce the overall room temperature for a few readings.

Sheet Freezing

It is a very simple technique to keep your room cool avoiding ruptures caused in the nights of summer due to intense heat waves. Keep the sheets in the refrigerator for a few minutes before going to bed. Warp it in a plastic cover and then place in the refrigerator to avoid the sheets obtaining the smells from the frozen vegetables and food sources. Using these sheets on the beds will keep you cool for a considerable time where you can sleep before feeling the heat again.

Ice water

Freeze the bottle with the help of refrigerator and apply it all over the body whenever you feel the intensity of the dry humidity in your rooms especially during nights.

Cotton Usage

Wear simple cotton clothes and replace all the bedsheets made of polyester, satin or silk with cotton sheets. This will impact largely in providing a transparent effect to the heat waves keeping your body temperature in a normal state.

Bye to the inners

The genitals have more sweat glands producing more rupture causing dryness in those areas of the body. So avoid wearing inners in the nights of summer to get air all around the body without trapping the sweat in particular areas.

Ventilation

Modern building or houses do not have sufficient amount of ventilation resulting in extreme temperature in the times of rough hot weather. Having windows opened and allowing the air to pass and move around freely is a best method to keep your houses cool. Buy a simple table fan and open all your windows to beat the heat in the long summer nights.

Egyptian method

Egyptians used a method of wetting the bed sheets and using it all through the night in the summer season. To avoid extreme moisture place another dry sheet over the wet sheet. This can have a longer cool effect on your bed and do not follow this method for small children or sick people.

Hydration

Staying hydrated in all forms help you to keep away excess heat accumulating in the body. Eating watery fruits, drinking plenty of water and having regular cold showers will heavily influence your body to adapt rightly in the times of summer season. Most of the times it is not the sun harming the human bodies but our own carelessness in caring our body does all the hurting through heat.
