The swelling crowd of devotees at Tirupathi temple

There has been a huge increase in the number of devotees visiting the Tirupathi temple since last Saturday. Because of this, the free Darshan entails a wait for more than 24 hours.

The route for the Free Darshan devotees was full and overflowing at the various points including the Vaikundam Queue Complex and all the waiting rooms. In fact, there is a crowd of devotees extending a further 2 km from the route. Thus, the free Darshan takes 24 hours.

The devotees with Rs. 300 Darshan ticket needed to wait for 5 hours for Darshan and the devotees who visited the temple by walk needed to wait for 3 hours.

The devotees with the token on the quick Darshan and the devotees who reached the temple by walk had Darshan within 5 hours.

From yesterday morning till today morning, 86744 devotees had Darshan. 36455 devotees tonsured their heads. The Hundi collection day-before-yesterday was Rs. 3.50 Croes (17th June). The Hundi collection yesterday (18th June) was Rs. 2.78 Crores.

As the crowd of devotees is continuously swelling, safety measures have been strengthened.

The TTD (Tirumalai Tirupathi Devasthanam Board) officials informed that the arrangements are being organized to take care of the basic amenities of the devotees.

A toll-free telephone number 18004254141 has been installed for the devotees to make complaints apart from the TTD WhatsApp number 9399399399. TTD has further set up a helpline service Facilities Management Service (FMS). The response staff will answer in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, and English.

The smaller problems will be solved by the staff whereas the more complicated will be taken care of by the officials. TTD has announced that the devotees can contact 1800425111111.
