Pre-half yearly exams cancelled

Due to the incessant heavy rains lashing and flooding/inundating Chennai, it has been announced that the pre-half yearly exams scheduled to be held for 10th, 11th, and 12th standards cancelled.
Immediately after the onset of the Northeast monsoon rainy season, the Chennai Metro City and its suburbs have been experiencing incessant heavy rains since the last few days. In fact, the schools have remained closed for a week.
It has been announced that the pre-half yearly exams scheduled for 10th, 11th, and 12th Standards have been cancelled.
The main reason attributed to the cancellation is that the successive holidays did leave scope for completing the intended portions in different subjects for pre-half yearly exams.
