Soon get birth/death certificates online from Panchayat administration offices

Following the metro corporations and city corporations, the Directorate of the Panchayat administration has been undertaking the efforts to introduce the facility of issuing the birth and death certificates online.
The major activity of entering all collected data of birth and death certificates in the 528 Panchayat administrations is in brisk progress.
During the 1st Phase, the facility will be tried out on a test basis in the Madambakkam Panchayat administration in Kancheepuram district. All the required activities in this regard are in progress.
An executive staff from the Panchayat administration shared the information that all the departments in the government are to be brought under online operations. This would enable a transparent administration process among the public. Accordingly, training is being given to the officers and staff in the Panchayat Administrations.
Details such as birth and death certificates, building approval plan, tax payment, and complaints can all be registered online. The status of these applications/complaints can also be verified online.
This facility will now simplify the entire procedure and also will enable the public the access to these data from their homes. On a trial basis, activities are in progress in the Madambakkam Panchayat administration to introduce this online facility.
Once it is successfully completed, this facility would be extended throughout the state of Tamil Nadu.
