Prospects of 20% hike in salary for Tamil Nadu state government employees

An information is gathered that the state government of Tamil Nadu has decided to increase the monthly salary of the state government employees and teachers by 20%.
It is expected that the official announcement on this would be made before Deepavali.
The late former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa announced during the last elections that as soon as the 7th Pay Commission recommendations are announced for the central government, the state government of Tamil Nadu would also revise the salary of the employees accordingly.
Now, it is understood that the state government has taken a decision to implement this promise. Accordingly, the Chief Minister E. Palanisamy formed an official team to revise the salary structure on 22nd February.
The information is gathered that the government has decided to raise the monthly salary of the state government employees and teachers by 20% as per the recommendations of the wages revision team.
