SBI reduces minimum balance limit to Rs 3,000

The State Bank of India has announced that the minimum balance to be kept in the savings account has been reduced from Rs. 5000 to Rs. 3000.
It is also announced that no minimum balance is required for the savings account holders who are minors and pensioners.
A few months ago, SBI has increased the minimum balance amount to match with some private sector banks. Now, it has reduced the same to Rs. 3000.
