Premium toilets in trains soon

Amidst a number of complaints regarding dirty and stinking toilets in train coaches, the Indian Railways is gearing up to set up swanky toilets in about 66 premium trains. This is estimated to get over in 4 months, targeted to provide better passenger experience. There are difficulties for the transporter to provide clean toilets in train coaches.
Targeting to make the train travel experience a pleasing one, the Indian railways has got two different toilet designs having luxury finish that are of same standard like that of personal toilets provided in large hotels.
One of the railway officials said the flooring will be of high quality so that it is easy to maintain it too.
These toilets are designed at the cost Rs 1.7 lakh. This is more or less the same as the price of existing toilets. Humsafar, a new premium train service has got one of the designs functional in it.
