Chennai underground metros to soon get inaugurated

The first underground corridor will soon be opened for the public, as the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety conducted inspection of the line on Wednesday and Thursday, and approved inauguration. On Friday, an informal communication regarding the affirmation was out; however, the formal letter is awaited today.
Upon arrival of the written approval, the Chennai Metro Rail Limited will update the same to the state and central governments. Data of inauguration and the inaugural ceremony will be altogether decided by the Chief Secretary and Secretary of the Union Ministry of Urban Development.
By next week, the line will be all set for inauguration. The line will be opened at the earliest, say officials. After investigating, K.A. Manoharan requested for more be placed at underground stations, as it will aid travelers in traveling without hassles.
