Research info: 80 percent engineering graduates do not have work-skill

In a research undertaken by the company Aspire Minds, it has been revealed that 80 percent of engineering graduates in India do not possess the required workmanship skill.
Aspire Minds conducted the survey among the engineering graduates who completed their course in the year 2015.
The research revealed that the engineering colleges and institutions offer education & training to lakhs of students but most of the students are not trained to be job-ready - in other words, they lack the workmanship skill to start the job straightaway.
Mr. Varun Agarwal, Head of Technology in the company Aspire Minds, informed that changes must be implemented in the existing system of education & training in engineering colleges to ensure proper development/readiness of students.
He further informed that engineering graduates are the clear majority among the current graduates - however, the question remains whether are trained enough to be industry-ready.
