Hello Engineers! Youve Got Amazing Job Opportunities Now

Posted on: 28/Nov/2015 9:37:20 AM
In the past five years, Engineering graduates have been suffering without being able to get placed in appropriate job posts. The job opportunities for computer science engineering, software engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, etc got largely reduced not just in India but in overseas companies as well.

In addition to reducing recruitment, the salary range was also reduced for engineering graduates. Distressed and disappointed by this, the interest in joining Engineering studies steadily declined. There were lakhs of engineering graduates who joined in low paying jobs that are totally irrelevant to their discipline of studies. There were many who turned up for VAO, bank examinations, TNPSC exam, railway examination, etc and got placed in banks and other job posts.

This being the case with engineering studies, now, there is a sudden change in the discipline. B.E graduates are receiving calls from top brands for placement. Furthermore, several firms have expressed interest for campus placement. Improvement of Indian economy is cited to be the reason for this boost in employment for engineers. The economy is getting geared up from its slow pace and hence there is increased requirement for software engineers in overseas nations. There are increasing openings in India as well.

Students studying in IIT and other top educational institutes also enjoy better placement opportunities this year.

Interestingly there is a good surge in the number of students who show interest towards entrepreneurship and business.

Top companies are ready to recruit candidates paying 5 to 10 percent higher salary this year. Those who are already working in IT firms are also enjoying increase in pay. Renowned companies in India have approached educational institutions for picking best engineers for their firm. Plans are devised to recruit candidates through campus placement.

It`s not just for engineers, but there are increased opportunities for arts and science graduates as well. Graduates in B.Sc computer science, B.Sc mathematics, etc have also got wider range of job opportunities. The cost spent towards training these arts and science graduates is lesser as compared to training engineering graduates. Hence these firms prefer arts students to engineers.

Further, recruitment procedures are done online in the recent times. Firms have started avoiding campus interviews and go for online means for recruiting candidates.

As there is increase in demand for Engineers, it is likely that more number of engineering seats will get filled in the upcoming academic year.
