Wal Mart to go on hiring spree for holiday season

Wal Mart has announced that it will fill 60000 vacancies during the holiday season. This will help the retail giant meet increased demand of shoppers. In an official statement, the company said that they will have more registered open during the peak hours, more employees in all their stores and also more managers in each department in their stores. Those who work at the stores will have the choice of working additional hours before the hiring begins.
The trend this year is a repeat of last year, when the retailer hired 60,000 during the holiday season. Data shows that over 50% of those employees stayed on at the company even after the season. The company has increased its minimum per hour wage from $7.25 to $9.
