Gas Authority of India Limited, a government of India undertaking is responsible for the production of fuel gas required for houses, companies, and vehicles, and associated activities.
Among the government owned industries, it has the status of being called a Maharatna.
GAIL has recently announced some vacancies in the organization.
60 posts are vacant for Senior Engineer/Officer and 64 vacancies are available in the category of Foreman, superintendent, Assistant, etc.
In another separate announcement, there are 13 vacancies for the post of senior Engineer/Officer.
Thus, the total vacancies are 119.
Academically, opportunities are available for graduates in various engineering faculties like chemical, petrochemical, chemical technology, mechanical, production, electrical, electrical & electronics, instrumentation, control engineering, computer science or computer technology.
Diploma holders in the above-mentioned faculties will be eligible to apply for the posts of foreman, junior superintendent, assistant inspector, and accounts assistant.

In the second announcement regarding vacancies where 13 Senior Engineer/Senior Officer are required, applications have to be sent before 17th September.

For the vacancies in the posts of Executive Trainees, candidates will be selected on the performance in GATE test. There are 57 vacancies for executive trainees for engineering faculties in chemical, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, Business Information System, Telecom, and telemetry.
Candidates who are graduates in the above fields of engineering and writing GATE test can apply. Applicants should be under 28 years of age. Age limit concession is allowed as per government rules & regulations.
