How to apply for the Special Livelihood Scheme for Women-headed Households

Under the Chief Minister`s Special Livelihood Scheme for Women-headed Households training would be provided to engage in ready-made dresses, retail trade, beauty parlor, computer operation, construction, repairing electronic goods, making of leather goods, driving light motor vehicle, fashion jewelry and conductors in buses. Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 would be spent on each.
Chennai Corporation in a statement has mentioned that vocation training would be offered women who is the head of the family (especially the women abandoned by husband, widow, destitute and those below the poverty line). They should be in the age group of 18 years to 45 years.
Applicants should contact Tamil Nadu Women`s Development Organization from 3rd August between 10 AM to 5.45 PM. The applicants should take the ration card, voter identity card, Aadhar card and educational qualification proof.
