TNPDCL HT Online Services Down Today for Server Upgrade Work

The Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL) has informed that online services related to High Tension (HT) electricity consumers will remain unavailable on May 28 due to scheduled server upgrade work.

According to TNPDCL, the services will be suspended from 6 am to 8 pm for migration of the existing HT billing database and server system to a new advanced infrastructure with Oracle 19c technology.

The current HT billing system handles important operations such as HT consumer billing details, meter reading information, online payment services and mobile app integration. During the maintenance period, HT consumers and field officials will not be able to access these online services.

TNPDCL stated that the server upgrade is aimed at improving the speed, security and reliability of billing services for HT consumers across Tamil Nadu. The corporation has requested consumers to plan their work in advance and cooperate during the temporary service interruption.

Officials also said the upgraded system will help provide faster and uninterrupted online services in the future. TNPDCL expressed regret for the inconvenience caused during the maintenance and migration process.
