Egg Prices Rise in Namakkal: Farm Rate Increased to 520 Paise

Egg prices in Namakkal have seen a fresh increase after remaining stable for the past week. The price, which was ₹5.10 per egg, has now been revised upward by 10 paise.
According to the latest update, the National Egg Coordination Committee regional leadership has fixed the farm-gate price at ₹5.20 per egg. The decision comes in line with price hikes observed in other regions, which have influenced the Namakkal market as well.
Farmers have stated that the increase was necessary to match rising rates across different zones and maintain market balance.
Despite the revision at the farm level, retail prices remain higher, with eggs being sold at around ₹6 per piece in local shops.
