No Voter ID? 12 Documents Accepted for Voting in India Elections 2026

If you do not have a Voter ID card, you can still cast your vote in the 2026 elections using alternative identification documents. Election authorities have approved a list of 12 valid documents that can be used to verify voter identity at polling booths.

This ensures that eligible voters are not denied their right to vote due to the absence of a voter ID card.

List of Accepted Documents for Voting:

- Aadhaar Card

- Driving License

- Indian Passport

- Pension document with photograph

- MGNREGA Job Card

- Bank or Post Office passbook with photo

- Health insurance smart card issued by the Ministry of Labour

- Smart card issued under the National Population Register (NPR)

- Service identity cards issued by Central/State Government or Public Sector Units

- Identity cards issued to Members of Parliament (MPs) / MLAs / MLCs

- Unique Disability ID (UDID) card issued by the Ministry of Social Justice

- PAN Card
