Tiruvanmiyur Bus Terminus Renovation Causes Traffic Congestion in Chennai
Ongoing renovation work at the Tiruvanmiyur Bus Terminus in Chennai has led to heavy traffic congestion and confusion among passengers.
Due to the renovation, buses operated by the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) are temporarily stopping along nearby roads instead of inside the bus terminus. This has created traffic bottlenecks and made it difficult for commuters to identify the correct bus boarding points.
Passengers have also reported a lack of clear signboards and information about temporary bus stops, causing inconvenience to daily travelers. Authorities have implemented these temporary arrangements as the renovation work continues inside the bus terminus.
Once the renovation is completed, the upgraded terminus is expected to improve passenger facilities and traffic management in the Tiruvanmiyur area.
