Gold prices fell by ₹610 to ₹1.49 lakh per 10 grams in futures trade on Tuesday, as rising crude oil prices and West Asia tensions weakened demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), June gold contracts declined 0.41% to ₹1,49,371 per 10 grams with 7,270 lots traded.
Globally, gold futures on COMEX (New York) dropped $19.13 (0.41%) to $4,665.57 per ounce.
The decline comes as crude oil nears $115 per barrel and geopolitical tensions rise following remarks by Donald Trump, keeping investors cautious.
