Tamilachi Thangapandian, the DMK candidate for South Chennai, announced the launch of 11 new women`s hostels in 9 districts across Tamil Nadu. These hostels, part of the Tamil Nadu Working Women`s Hostels Corporation initiative, provide affordable and secure accommodation for working women.

• Locations:
Chennai, Chengalpattu, Perambalur, Salem, Trichy, Tirunelveli, Thanjavur, Vellore, Villupuram.
• Facilities:
Dining room, rest room, creche, Wi-Fi, air conditioners, lifts, washing machines, iron boards, pantries with fridges, microwaves, RO water coolers, and 24-hour CCTV security.
Cost:
• Chennai: ₹300 per month
• Other Districts: ₹200 per month
Eligibility:
Women earning between ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 per month.
Curfew:
10:00 pm, with exceptions for shift workers.
