More than one lakh in just 1 week - Online engineering admissions in TN!!

Online admissions have been tremendous for the engineering aspirants in TN!!
Since 26th July 2021, in around 1 week, the online engineering admissions belonging to DoTE have attracted more than one lakh students.
It must not be forgotten that more than 21000 students got registered for online engineering admissions on the first day itself. It was higher than last year’s day one enrollment.
According to a senior officer belonging to the Higher Education Department, from 26th July till 1st August 2021 as many as92176 students have registered to pursue online engineering courses. On 2nd August, the number crossed one lakh.
The superb piece of information is that the enhanced software that received online applications from the students has been more user-friendly. Several options have been added to the software including a user-friendly portal to upload documents. This was as per Dr. T. Purushothaman, additional director of Higher Education Department and TNEA.
It must be taken into note that TNEA 2021-22is a totally online process that includes registration, payments, choice filling, allotment and confirmation. To help the students to get some idea about the cut off marks, previous year’s cut-off marks have been included. It is now learnt that a comprehensive and improvised registration demo video would be included this year.
