From 27th May 2020 onwards, class 12 answer sheets evaluation would begin in more than 100 centres in Tamil Nadu.

For maintaining social distancing to prevent the spread of Corona virus infection, the TN Directorate of Government Examinations had asked the chief educational officers not to allow more than eight teachers per room while evaluating the answer sheets of plus 2 students.

According to C. Usharani, director of government examinations, during the evaluation of the class 12 answer sheets, a hall would have 6 assistant examiners, 1 scrutiny officer and a chief examiner. This was mentioned in the circular. In the past, during answer sheet evaluation, every hall had 3 chief examiners, 3 scrutiny officers and 18 assistant examiners.

It was revealed that the evaluation centres must be disinfected every day before the work began and there must be soaps and sanitizers at the centres. Important information is all teachers involved in paper evaluation work must wear masks compulsorily.

The answer sheet evaluation for class 12 would go on till 9th June and nearly 20,000 teachers would correct 48 lakhs answer sheets. The class 12 results would be announced in the third week of June. It is known that more than 8 lakhs students wrote plus 2 examinations in March in TN.
