In TN, all government and aided engineering colleges to reopen this week

While the academic activities would begin from the month of August 2020, the administrative works would begin in this week in all the government based and aided engineering colleges in TN.
This decision to reopen the engineering colleges in TN was taken due to the fact that TN government had brought in relaxations by allowing minimum number of staffs to work. Hence, the Directorate of Technical Education or DOTE has now decided to open all the engineering colleges in this week.
A high level committee of the Higher Education Department took the decision to restart the administrative activities at the engineering colleges in TN. It is known that the engineering admissions counselling would start from the month of June. As per the fresh guidelines issued by the AICTE, all the engineering colleges would be opened in the August month and this has been planned.
It was revealed by a senior official belonging to DOTE that the oral instructions were already given to the principals of TN owned engineering colleges to start the institutions with minimum teaching faculty and non-teaching staffs for the coming year administrative based works. For all the faculty members and non-teaching staffs to get a chance to work, rotation system would be adopted.
It is worthy to note that the principals have been asked to make sure abut the safety measures like sanitization etc in the engineering colleges to prevent the Corona virus infection. Point is for those staffs depended on the public transport, vehicles would be provided.
